The bhikkus don’t have a Pāṭimokkha rule on footwear but the bhikkhunis have pacittiya 84, which might offer more detail

That’s a kind idea! But unfortunately wooden shoes are not allowed, because they make noise. In the Vinaya stories some monks wore wooden shoes and they got banned. (I think maybe they were Dutch monks. 
)
