ONLINE PĀLI -ENGLISH CERTIFICATE COURSE-2023
Course Details:
The Course includes the basics of Pāli Grammar and a few Suttas from Tipitaka.
Language:
The medium of instruction is English.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must have completed at least one 10-day Vipassana meditation Course (As taught by S N Goenka in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin)
- Applicant must have passed HSC (Higher Secondary School examination) or completed 12 years of education.
Commencement Date:
The course will commence on 4th February 2023, Saturday.
Duration:
- The online Pāli-English course will continue for about 9 months.
- Two recorded lectures will be made available every Saturday. (It means on 4th Feb you get access to the first two lectures. Thereafter on 11th Feb you get access to the 3rd & 4th lecture and in this way the course proceeds.)
- Each lecture lasts for around 40 min to 1.5 hours
Time:
The lectures will be made available to the participants for viewing, on VRI Website every Saturday by 10am IST . After that the students can study at their convenient time.
Online Platform:
1)The lectures will be available on Online Pāli-English Website-2023.
2) WhatsApp – You will require this app in your mobile as the communication on a day-to-day basis is done via WhatsApp.
Exam:
The participants who wish to get a certificate, will have to appear for an online examination at the end of the course.
Certificate:
Only those participants who score minimum 40 marks in the said exam will be qualified for the certificate.
