What is the difference between Emptiness Jhana and conventional four Jhanas?

It appears contemplation on emptiness lead to four Jhanas.
How it differ from the conventional four Jhana model?

What exactly is the ‘conventional four Jhana model’ so to make attainment of jhana through Emptiness (as described also in SN 48.10, MN 117, etc) another model?

Does a ‘conventional model’, similar to Hatha Yoga as interpreted from the Satipatthana & Anapanasati Suttas, really work?
