Why are the forum guidelines so hard to find?

@Passana I found the FAQ about the AI guideline but I interpreted that far different from the way it was seemingly interpreted here: Attwood, Jayarava - The Heart Sutra Editions - #70 by BethL

As a rule, I skip over all AI-generated sutta translation content on this platform – haven’t we basically agreed to follow this protocol on this platform?

To me the FAQ guideline #39 isn’t about the more recent debate about AI and Venerable @sujato’s campaign against it, but rather just a general and reasonable rule that if people are going to be posting AI generated content that it be marked clearly as such and pertinent/relevant to the discussion at hand.

IOW, it is a general rule against spamming of AI content on the forum not a more restrictive rule against discussing/posting/debating examples of AI generated translations and the quality (or lack thereof) and characteristics of such.

Can the mods and the management committee please clarify which is the case with regard to the AI discussion that opened up in https://discourse.suttacentral.net/t/attwood-jayarava-the-heart-sutra-editions ? To me that discussion is/was perfectly fine and not in violation neither in spirit or letter of the FAQ #39? but others seem to read the FAQ #39 (@BethL?) differently.

Thank you
