Why homeless people and beggars can't live like a monk?

Really? Has anyone actually said this?

I’ll PM you as not to badmouth other forums.

It should be noted I was not accusing @SarathW1 of holding such a view or approach to karma, but I have heard such things argued, and felt they had a relation to the OP, the intersection of perceived-as-having-bad-karma & perceived-as-having-good-karma. If anything, the opposite view is being hinted at here IMO, that people who suffer are wiser for it, which can be true, but isn’t always.

“Master Gotama, both you and I are beggars. What, then, is the difference between us?”

“You don’t become a beggar
just by begging from others.
Someone who has accepted domestic responsibilities
has not yet become a mendicant.
But one living a spiritual life
who has shunned both good and bad,
having considered, they live in this world:
that’s who’s called a mendicant.”

Because they are not monk and you mix between a monk and a beggar. The same thing as why do monks can’t live like an arahant?
Buddha said if one is poor but is not living a holy life his life is miserable.
