I’m one of those who like to study in a very structured way: first the fundamentals, then more advanced or specialized topics. Not driven by my own interests at the time, but in courses some expert has already prepared. It makes me feel I’m taking the correct study path.
I also love to collect certificates of the courses I study.
Also I like to pay a price for what I study. It doesn’t have to be a fixed price, it could be a suggested, optional one.
And going a little further, I like to have the option to study in a scheduled course, with an instructor, assignments with deadlines and peers with whom to discuss the topics. That helps with accountability and motivation.
I think these ideas would add a lot of value for some of us to the already amazing resource suttacentral is.

The purpose of this forum is to discuss Early Buddhist Texts (EBTs). SuttaCentral houses translations of the Pali canon and some other texts. Creating and disseminating certificate courses is not the purpose of either SuttaCentral or D&D. There are many excellent websites and portals that offer structured learning (for free).
The Barre Center for Buddhist Studies BCBS offers the kinds of courses you are looking for-- structured, paid, and possibly with a certificate. Venerable Anālayo offers courses through them. I am sure there are many other organizations that offer such courses.
Yeah, just to be clear, my website (OBU) is not a “real” (accredited) institution and does not provide degrees or certificates. It is purely digital with no real-time component to our courses. If you want a real degree you’ll have to go to a real university!
