I am a former community worker living in regional Victoria. I am a “Buddhist” in that I think the Buddha was onto something and I practice meditation, but I would not say I am a member of any particular school. My interest in the EBT’s is for the most part philosophical, as I think that too often western writers about Buddhist Philosophy devote a page or two, sometimes a brief chapter, to the early texts before moving on to the “real stuff” in the Abhidhamma or Mahayana literature, I on the other hand think there is some deep philosophical content to the EBT’s and have spent the last several years trying to grapple with it.
