Nessie
I’m recently retired (by age) from teaching statistics and introduction to empirical research to social workers.
From 1996 on I followed a meandering route trying to deepen my contact with the spiritual transmissions in history to which I felt a significant resonance. This led from the Tao-te-king via Osho, Krishnamurti, my home-religion (lutherian christianity) to old zen, then to the pali-canon, into the interfaith dialogue in my hometown (and rereading christian and jewish bible, discussing more indepth some chapters like Kohelet), and then to the world of Thich Nhat Hanh. (The pali-canon became somehow my overall root-access to the dharma, whether a bit distorted here and there or not.) I rediscovered by this also a lot of mental and ethic conceptions of my young-man political engagement and critical contact with sectarian pathways. See a small index on my webpages and a so-to-say “nano”-index on some favourite palicanon-sutras. Currently I’m trying to find an access to more practical dharma, especially re-initiated by the letter of the 8 Rigpa-elders and by finding about similar things already in earlier years and my heart-grief arosen from the documented experiences and the continuing situation of survivors, which are hard-beaten dharma-friends in general. Just came across this discussion site, but do not know whether I’ll stay long: the so many internet-discussions are making me a bit sick in general…It’s difficult to find a nice pseudonyme for internet-discussions to which one can accomodate for possibly more than some days. Having been in Scotland recently I found the whole plot around “Nessie” in the Loch Ness much amusing, not too loud, spiced with an awesome slight irony, so maybe this is a nice pseudonyme for some time from now…
