Liberarion-aspiring householder in California, spend as much of my time as possible in the dhamma while working full-time. 6-7 precepts, prefer learning from monastics, sit primarily with the Ayyas of Karuna Vihara. Ānāpānassati and Metta are my primary formal practices. Retreat and Day-Long often. I would call myself a novice in reading the Suttas, probably have read < 100, just taking Venerable Anālayo’s Satipatthana course now. In 2019 I was brought to the path by a spontaneously heart-opening experience (reading Thicht Naht Hahn’s writing about interbeing), had been atheist since starting college 15 years prior, and no desire for spirituality/religion. Always a curious person, tried most things once, found very little happiness in the world, now a super happy semi-renunciate and supporter of others’ well-being. My heart dearly wishes for the liberation of all beings everywhere :pray:
