This Wisdom Dharma Chat will feature a conversation on the topic of early Buddhism and Dzogchen, moderated by Wisdom CEO/Publisher Daniel Aitken.
This is a truly precious opportunity to hear two great meditators, teachers, and thinkers from two different traditions in dialogue.
Bhikkhu Anālayo is a renowned scholar-monk who is known for his skill as an academic, teacher, and translator. He has developed his own meditative approach for satipaṭṭhāna, mindfulness of breathing, the brahmavihārās, and emptiness meditation. He has written books on each of these approaches, and teaches them in English, German, Italian, and Spanish in various parts of Europe, Australia, North America, and South America.
Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche is a much-loved teacher, an accomplished meditation master, and an author of several bestselling books. He was taught meditation by his father, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, and spent many years of his childhood in strict retreat. He also completed the traditional Buddhist training in philosophy and psychology. In addition to extensive training in the meditative and philosophical traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, Rinpoche has also had a lifelong interest in Western science and psychology. Rinpoche teaches throughout the world, with centers on five continents.
We hope you’ll join us for what is sure to be an extraordinary conversation!
