The Buddha praised asking questions, saying that it was the cause of being wise in your next life. Much of the early Buddhist literature is full of Q & A sessions.
Keep this section for limited questions for which you can conceivably get a satisfactory answer. Clarify the meaning of a phrase, the context of a discourse, or an unfamiliar idea. Don’t ask open-ended questions, or about things that are primarily opinion-based. You can use the Discussion category for these.
Similarly, when giving answers, try to answer the exact question as straight-forwardly as possible. Avoid lengthy explanations or personal opinions.
