About the Q & A category

Get answers for specific questions.

The Buddha praised asking questions, saying that it was the cause of being wise in your next life. Much of the early Buddhist literature is full of Q & A sessions.

Keep this section for limited questions for which you can conceivably get a satisfactory answer. Clarify the meaning of a phrase, the context of a discourse, or an unfamiliar idea. Don’t ask open-ended questions, or about things that are primarily opinion-based. You can use the Discussion category for these.

Similarly, when giving answers, try to answer the exact question as straight-forwardly as possible. Avoid lengthy explanations or personal opinions.
