I’m seeing that the Dirgha Agama and Madhyama Agama translations published by the Numata Center seem to be under a more restrictive license than CC Zero. Can anyone confirm whether this is the reason the translations are not available on SuttaCentral? Also, does anyone know if a similar situation will be true for translations done of the Samyukta Agama, and whether that project is still ongoing?
The BDK publications are copyrighted, yes. They reserve the right to publish their translations. The free PDFs aren’t allowed to be reproduced elsewhere such as copying them into a project like SuttaCentral.
Analayo’s other translations like the Samyukta Agama weren’t published originally through BDK.
