Aurebesh is an alphabet, not a language

Spending time working on site interface translation, I noticed that there is an Aurebesh “translation” of the Metta Sutta. Problem is, Aurebesh is not a language, it’s an alphabet.

I realize that I may be looking for any excuse to argue against having fictional languages on SuttaCentral. But since any sutta could be put into an Aurebesh transliterator and get the same result, I don’t understand the point of having it here, taking up space in an already long list of available languages.

Another quibble… It wasn’t very carefully added to the site because you will notice that the title of the sutta appears as the first line of the translation.

In conclusion… bah humbug.
