Hi,
I am making a catalogue of AUTHENTIC Buddhist quotes for a university project. I am looking for ones that capture the essence of Buddhist teaching no matter if it is Zen, Theravada, Mahayana, Vajrayana. And of course I need the source.

For other traditions you might have more response in r/Buddhism.

Probably best to read this book first: The Authenticity of the Early Buddhist Texts by Bhante Sujato and Ajahn Brahmali.

Thanks for your comments, I know there are lots of online sources - I am particularly interested in peoples personal favourites as this makes the selection less bias than only incorporating ones that I personally find meaningful.
