Buddhanusati: Reflecting on the leadership lessons of the arahants in the EBTs

I’ll be giving a talk on incorporating Buddhist principles into contemporary leadership practices at our local meditation center via Zoom on 3/18/2021 at 8 PM EST. Attached are some of the key slides from the presentation. A core concept is that Buddhanasati (reflecting on the arahants) can be helpful in lay life not just for our own happiness and spiritual development, but also for the ethical leadership lessons that the Buddha and arahants such as Sariputtra embodied. I incorporated some of the elements from Ajahn Brahm’s guide to “Good Governance” (thanks to Stu for pointing that out) and diverse suttas from the EBTs and one Jataka tale.
