Sotthi Hontu… I would like to ask about transfer merit (Pattidana). In DN 31, it’s written:
… and I will make donations on behalf of dead ancestors."…
With the key word “Dakkhina”. Does this Dakkhina refer to merit transfer or Pattidana? As the translation in Dictionary is:
… “a donation given to a ‘holy’ person with ref. to unhappy beings in the Peta existence (‘Manes’)”…
Please help me to solve this…
