Is dark theme dark enough?

I’m talking about dark theme on the main SC website.

How to activate dark theme if you don't know:

For example, the color used for the tooltips on asterisk,

Even the regular check only receives a “good” rating on normal text:

If we make the background a bit darker, we get a good rating:

Dark themes are very difficult to do right. As a result I rarely use them. But it feels like currently it’s so bad that it should be improved.
