Is there away to do some kind of “mark as read” operation for all of the suttas in the New category at once?

Do you mean all posts/threads?

If so yes.
Click on the New button.
Click the list icon (the horizontal lines) above the list of post
Click select all
Scroll to the bottom and choose dismiss all

I don’t see that option. I only see the dismiss option when I click on the unread button. But I don’t want to dismiss all of the unread posts.
