Anyone remember this TV series? I never knew it had a Bhikkhuni named Tripitaka who’s task was to obtain Buddhist scriptures from India and bring them back to China.The Monkey’s role was to protect her on the dangerous journey!

I would recommend instead watching this more historically accurate movie about xuang zang’s journey to India to study Yogaccara:
The most beautiful scene is the one in which he meets the Indian master Silabhadra.
Sounds fascinating! I usually like a bit of light humour and light material after a long day.
If you search for it you may find the full movie in YouTube. I wouldn’t post it here for I am not confident that is 100% safe copyright-wise.
