On the Daladavamsa

I know that this early chronicle centering on the arrival of the Buddha’s Tooth to Lanka was written in Hela Prakrit and said to have disappeared. One George Turnour is said that as late as the 19th century there was still a Sinhala copy available. It was also referred to as the Dathadhatuvamsa in the Culavamsa and is the source text for the Dāṭhavaṃsa written in the 13th century.

I am wondering how close this version by R.D. Alves written down in 1916 is to the original. Sadly I do not know Sinhala.
