@christie comment made me thing about the importance of storytelling in Buddhism. The Myth of the four sights made my heart swell when I first heard it and even after finding out some of the embellishments in the folk tales of the Buddha like calling the eart as his witness, I find the stories amazing. I would love to hear this forums favorite Buddhist story, folk tale, or piece of media. It needn’t be a story from the suttas.

A story about 4 Buddhist noviciates and what happened to them when the abbot has to leave them to go on a trip. Shot entirely in Myanmar, and the four young boys are actually Buddhist noviciates and the Sayadaw is also played by a real Sayadaw.
