Some popular science on the notion of 'self'

recently i’ve started to realize that a biological organism, a human being in particular, doesn’t actually require a soul or some such to live and function. considering all scientific discoveries about processes in the human body (including brain activity) known by now to an average person it’s easy to see it as a self-sustaining system fuelled and fueled by chemicals produced with the aid of oxygen and nutrition. attestation to that is the fact that lack of either one of those two necessarily results in death

mmmmm…need to be careful here about the “self” word.

“Not-self” and “self”…are different…are they not?

The teaching teaches the “not-self” and doesn’t answer the question of “self”…as there is no need.
