I’m wondering what style guide has been used for the new translations by Bhante Sujato. I ask because I just noticed that multi-paragraph quotations are not handled in the standard way. (i.e. continuing quotations leave paragraph open but start new paragraph with quote marks)
If there is an on-line reference you are following, it would help to know for pointing out typos.
My $.02 on the paragraph quotation mark issue… I find the lack of opening quotation marks on continuing paragraphs disturbing. I can’t yet claim it is confusing. On a theoretical level, I feel the opening quotation marks are an important part of emphasizing the words as spoken by the Buddha (or someone). I’m guessing it is a technical issue for SC because of the Pali.
