Thanks for *not* collecting a bunch of data about us, SuttaCentral Discourse

Dear @sujato, and @moderators ,
By providing (and moderating) this wonderful forum, you are providing a place for Buddhists to connect and meet, where we aren’t getting our privacy violated left, right and center. Thanks for that. Services like these are not all that commonly used these days.

This need to express gratitude was motivated by a good infographic on “information collecting” I came across today (click/tap to zoom in):

At the end of my recent Dhamma Talk, I mentioned dodging some of this data collection (by the likes of Facebook/Meta and Youtube), by making use of uBlock Origin, and “Private Windows” in Firefox. Also mentioned in this regard was the use of RSS feeds, and youtube-dl.
