At the end of my recent Dhamma Talk, I mentioned dodging some of this data collection (by the likes of Facebook/Meta and Youtube), by making use of uBlock Origin, and “Private Windows” in Firefox. Also mentioned in this regard was the use of RSS feeds, and youtube-dl.
