The Buddha as St Josaphat

This is interesting, I knew that the Buddha had found a place in the Hindu pantheon, as an avatar of Vishnu, but I wasn’t aware of this story. The name St Josaphat rings a bell, but there were an awful lot of saints in my education (rather to the detriment of Stem subjects).

That’s really interesting! As well as the whole Buddhism influence on Christianity, possibility of Christ having some contact with Buddhists (or being a re-born Buddha’s disciple?), beginning of monasticism etc etc.:grinning:
