Hāsapañño, javanapañño: meanings

They have laughing wisdom and swift wisdom, and are endowed with freedom (Ven. Sujato transl). hāsapañño javanapañño vimuttiyā ca samannāgato SN 55.24. Hāsu° (of uncertain origin) occurs with hāsa° in combn with °pañña and is customarily taken in meaning “of bright knowledge” (i. e. hāsa+paññā), wise, clever.
