Just so folks don’t get confused, these calendars appear to be for the Mahanikay sect in Thailand so they will likely match what is followed by the Ajahn Chah forest monasteries. However, they may or may not match the schedule followed by other sects/countries. And they won’t always match the astronomical moons.

Since we have the system of 15, 14 days, and only 6 out of 24 uposatha in a lunar year of 12 months are 14 days, is it that different countries, sects etc have different calenders because they put in the extra months in different years?

I know that is the case sometimes. Every so often Rains Residences are even observed a month apart.

Also the exact day of the full/new moon will sometimes be a day off between different calendars
