What Acharn Thate did and did not teach

Looks like this is an older thread. I just noticed it myself.

Hin Mark Peng is the monastery Ajahn Thate established, correct? I’m assuming you’re speaking on behalf of the Wat.

I just wanted to say that regardless of doctrinal differences, my teacher Ajahn Brahm holds Ajahn Thate in very high regard. As a young monk he had the chance to have an audience and often tells that story in his talks to the monks at Bodhinyana.

Fortunately Ajahn Thate wrote his own auto biography so we have the tale of his life from his own perspective. I do agree that the dhamma writings that have been translated into English are confusing to say the least!
