Dear Dharma Friends
at our last class with John, we came across a sutta which referenced a “wheel turning monarch.” (AN5:131) Ven. Analayo discusses a wheel-turning monarch in his book Perspectives on Satipatthana" page 219.
He writes: “While the discourse itself does not provide a one-by-one correlation, it seems safe to follow the commentarial tradition that the wheel corresponds to the mindfulness awakenind factor.”
