A better Pali Dictionary

I agree. Took me a while but I’m glad I persevered. Also bought Vol 3 of Margaret Cone’s Dictionary of Pali. One of the things that has always fascinated me is, once you have access to much older translations and dictionaries, is to make comparisons with much newer material thus enabling you to see the changes and developments, for example, from the PED of Rhys Davids to that of Margaret Cone. However, I have a deep respect for what people like Rhys Davids, his wife and other translators of that period, achieved given the limitations they must have endured. Incidentally, there’s a biography of Rhys Davids that might still be available. It’s a good read.
