While researching the history of the Dīrgha Āgama’s translation in China, I stumbled on a new resource released last year to the public:
It’s not the best translation possible, but it’s also a difficult to text to render to English. For those unfamiliar with it, the Biographies of Eminent Monks is collection of biographical stories about 500 important Buddhist figures in China up to the beginning of the 6th c. CE, including many of the foreign monks who translated the Tripitaka to Chinese.
