It’s probably tucked away here somewhere, but I didn’t find it when I searched.
Thanks! Look forward to reading this.
Well, the translation of the sutta is right where you would expect it to be:
https://suttacentral.net/dn2/en/bodhi
But SC doesn’t host full commentaries like the BPS publication that you linked to.
No, but if you search D&D you’ll find links to commentaries and discussions of this (and other) suttas.
ETA: e.g. this post
But it is not the intention that we have all suttas indexed here in D&D is it?
We should maybe find ways to make sure people who come to this forum understand and know of the existence and how to make use of www.SuttaCentral.net to inform their discussions about the early Buddhist texts hosted in it.
Just a loud thought, in the early days of the forum, there was a feature in which if you had a sutta reference like DN1 in your post the reader could click/tap on it and be taken to the sutta’s page in SuttaCentral.net
Maybe that’s something that could be implemented again?
It’s still there:
If you click the three dot menu and then select “Discuss & Discover” it puts the citation into a search link:
https://discourse.suttacentral.net/search?q="iti25 "
I’ve actually come across those old posts. It looks like Bhante was trying to fill the board with content in the early days? Seems a little odd to use a discussion forum to kind of replicate a website, but I see why.
